I grew up with fairies all around me. My mother loves fairies, so we always had fairy related things around the house; statues, and drawings, and costumes, and the like. I was a fairy for birthdays and for halloween. My favorite movies were tinkerbell and fern gully and Barbie's mariposa. I still sometimes feel more fairy then human. This is my love letter to all things fairy, fae, and the like. I'm hoping for this page to become a large collection of fairy gifs, stickers, stamps, backgrounds, much like the fairy books my mom read to be growing up that were interactive and had envelopes and cards and textile stuff. Fairies and fae in traditional folklore were mischevious spirits. They were unpredictable, and more malevolent then modern depictions of them in children's media. While some could be described as benevolent, I am more fascinated by the idea of tricksters, living among nature and protecting the chaos of the world, maintaining entropy.

I feel like critters and creatures are the true rulers of the world. Human beings are greedy, and have given ourselves the illusion of being on top of the food chain. Fairies, like animals, are just beings belonging to the natural order of the world. However, if we were to get on the bad side of a fairy, I'm sure they would hold a much harder grudge. Anyways! Here's some bugs and squirrels and stuff.

Flower dresses, acorn hats, hell, even dew-drop goggles are just some of the ways fairies in media have utilized nature as articles of clothing and accessories. It's just such a cute concept, I hope that sticks around forever.
